We are developing a safe, cost-effective and comprehensive wound care dressing to prevent infections, and accelerate the healing of chronic wounds. We want to create a product which can be readily accessible for the medically underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged members of our world.
Chronic wounds often take longer than three months to heal and sometimes may linger for years. This is due to repeated infections which can result in additional complications. These illnesses greatly increase the likelihood of acquiring chronic wounds. The most common types of chronic wounds are Venous Stasis Ulcers, Arterial Ulcers, Pressure Ulcers , and Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
