Phoenix-Aid Wins 1st Place in BME Idea Competition

This past week, founder and CEO, Ashwin Karthikeyan, was invited to join VentureWell in New York City for the revealing of the winners for the 2017 BME Idea Competition. This competition recognizes the finest student biomedical innovations from universities across the nation.

The winning innovations each solve a pressing clinical problem, contributing to human health and quality of life, feature novel and practical design, and show great potential for commercialization. Phoenix-Aid excelled in these criteria, resulting in a first place win!

Phoenix-Aid received the award (shown above), a trophy that will be displayed at UVA for a year, and $10,000 in grant money.

We are extremely thankful and humbled by this most recent success. This victory has inspired us to work even harder moving forward!
